Ceylon mate – Seller Terms & Conditions

These Seller Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between Ceylon mate and any individual or business (“Seller”) listing products on the Ceylon mate website or mobile app.

By registering as a seller, you agree to the following terms:


1. Seller Registration

To become a seller on Ceylon mate, you must provide:

  • Full name
  • Valid ABN (Australian Business Number)
  • Accurate pickup address
  • Contact information (phone number & email)
  • Bank details for receiving payouts

Sellers must be 18+ and legally authorized to sell goods in Australia.


2. Product Listings

You may only list legal, safe, and genuine products (e.g., Sri Lankan goods, homemade foods).
Each listing must include:

  • Clear product descriptions and pricing
  • High-quality product images
  • Allergen information (especially for food items)
  • A visible refund and return policy

❌ Misleading content or prohibited items are strictly forbidden.


3. Order Fulfillment & Pickup

  • Pickup Only: All orders must be fulfilled through pickup, unless delivery is handled by Ceylon mate itself.
  • Sellers are responsible for:
    • Having products ready for pickup on time
    • Secure and hygienic packaging
    • Informing buyers of any delays or issues

4. Payments & Payouts

  • All buyer payments are processed via the Ceylon mate platform
  • After deducting the agreed commission, payouts will be sent to your bank account
  • Payouts are issued on a fixed schedule (e.g., weekly or bi-weekly)

5. Subscription Fee

To sell on Ceylon Mate, sellers can choose between a Free Plan and a Paid Subscription Plan.

Paid Subscription Plan:

  • A secure Stripe payment link will be sent via email or WhatsApp for easy and safe payment.

  • Includes:

    • Full access to features and promotion tools

    • Expanded product listings

    • Lower commission rates

    • Monthly or annual billing (auto-renewal unless cancelled)

Flexibility:


Non-Payment Policy

If a seller on a paid subscription misses a payment:

  1. First Reminder:
    Sent 3 days after the due date.

  2. Final Reminder:
    Sent 7 days after the first reminder.

  3. Automatic Downgrade (After 14 Days):
    If payment is not made within 14 days, your account will be automatically moved to the Free Seller Package, which includes:

    • A maximum of 10 product listings

    • Higher commission per sale

    • Limited features and reduced promotional tools

    • You’ll be notified and may upgrade again at any time by paying the subscription fee.

  4. Account Deactivation:
    ❗ Ceylon Mate does not deactivate or delete seller accounts on the Free Plan unless you request it by emailing:

6. Refunds & Disputes

  • Each seller must clearly outline their refund policy on product pages
  • Sellers are responsible for handling customer disputes
  • Ceylon mate may review disputes but will not mediate seller-related refunds

7. Food Safety & Legal Compliance (For food sellers)

If you sell food items, you must:

  • Follow Australian food safety regulations
  • Maintain clean preparation and packaging practices
  • Clearly state allergens (e.g., gluten, nuts, dairy)

❗Ceylon mate is not liable for health or legal issues arising from food sold by sellers.


8. Platform Usage Rules

As a seller, you agree to:

  • Maintain professional communication with buyers
  • Avoid fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
  • Keep product listings up to date
  • Follow all Australian laws for selling goods

9. Temporary Unavailability Notice

If you are unable to sell or fulfill orders temporarily—for reasons such as holidays, medical conditions, or any personal circumstances—you must immediately inform Ceylon Mate.

What You Must Do:

  • Notify us by emailing:

  • Include:

    • Your store name

    • The reason for your unavailability

    • The expected return date

Important Notes:

  • If you fail to inform Ceylon Mate, and orders are placed during your absence, you may be charged:

    • An order cancellation fee

    • May receive performance warnings or temporary suspension

  • Once you’re available again, you must email Ceylon Mate to confirm that you are ready to resume selling.

    • Until we receive this confirmation, your products will remain unpublished on the platform.

We value your time and well-being, but to maintain a smooth customer experience, timely communication is essential.


10.Ceylon Mate Partner Plan – Additional Terms

Sellers who join the Ceylon Mate Partner Plan agree to the following additional conditions:

  1. Stocking Ceylon Mate Products
  • Sellers must allow Ceylon Mate’s selected products to be listed and stocked in their store.
  • Sellers are not allowed to list similar or identical products in their store if Ceylon Mate already sells those items directly.

Order Fulfillment

  • Sellers must fulfill orders on time and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Failure to fulfill orders may result in penalties or removal from the Partner Plan.

Product Returns

  • If Ceylon Mate requests a return of any product, the seller must post the product back safely and promptly, with shipping costs covered by Ceylon Mate.

Product Storage

  • All Ceylon Mate products must be stored in a clean, secure, and clearly identifiable manner, separate from personal or other brand stock.

Selling or Using Products Outside the Platform

  • If a seller sells or consumes Ceylon Mate stock outside the website (e.g., personal sales or in-store sales), the seller must:
    • Inform Ceylon Mate immediately
    • Pay the cost of the used or sold product to Ceylon Mate’s account
    • Allow Ceylon Mate to update inventory to avoid overselling

❗ If a customer places an order for an item marked in stock but it is unavailable due to unreported use or sale, the seller must cover the cost of cancellation or any additional charges incurred by Ceylon Mate.

Violations & Account Removal

  • Ceylon Mate reserves the right to remove the seller’s store from the platform at any time for serious or repeated violations of these Partner Plan terms.

11. Account Suspension & Policy Enforcement

Ceylon Mate reserves the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate your seller account for violations of these terms or platform abuse
  • Hold payouts if your account is under review for policy violations or buyer complaints
  • Move your products to the free subscription package if the subscription fee is not paid as per Section
  • Ceylon Mate reserves the right to remove the seller’s store from the platform at any time for serious or repeated violations of these Partner Plan terms.

Seller Agreement Confirmation

By registering as a seller on Ceylon mate, you confirm:
