Ceylon mate – Terms of Service

Welcome to Ceylon mate! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Ceylon mate platform, including both our website and mobile application. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Use of the Platform

You agree to use the Ceylon mate platform only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms.
You must not misuse the platform or take any action that could harm its operation, integrity, or other users.

2. Account Registration

To buy or sell on Ceylon mate, you must:

  • Create an account with accurate and up-to-date information
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

3. Seller and Buyer Responsibilities

  • Sellers must:
    • List only lawful, accurate, and compliant products
    • Ensure products meet Australian regulations
    • Manage order pickups, as all seller orders are pickup-only
  • Buyers must:
    • Carefully review product details and seller policies before purchasing
    • Understand that pickup arrangements are made directly with sellers

4. Order Fulfilment

Seller Orders (Pickup or Seller-Provided Delivery):

  • All third-party seller products are pickup-only by default. Sellers must coordinate
    directly with buyers to arrange pickup.
  • If a seller offers delivery, the responsibility for timely delivery, condition of goods,
    and any related issues lies solely with the seller, not Ceylon Mate.

Ceylon Mate Products (Delivered Items):

  • Products sold directly by Ceylon Mate are delivered through trusted third-party
    carriers like Australia Post or other courier services.
  • Delivery fees, estimated timelines, and tracking details are shown at checkout.
  • Ceylon Mate is not liable for delays, damages, or issues caused by the delivery
    service provider.

Ceylon Mate Shipping Policy (Australia-wide)

  • Flat Rate Shipping: $12.95
    (Covers most orders up to 5kg using prepaid satchels)
  • FREE Shipping: For all orders over $120
  • Delivery Method: Fast, tracked delivery via Australia Post Prepaid Satchels

Important Notes:

  • If your order is large or over 5kg, extra postage may apply. We will contact you before dispatch to confirm any additional costs.
  • Delivery timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

5. Payments

  • All payments are made through the Ceylon mate platform
  • Ceylon mate collects payments on behalf of sellers
  • Sellers are paid by Ceylon mate after orders are confirmed and processed

6. Returns and Refunds

  • Ceylon mate Products:
    Returns and refunds are handled directly by Ceylon mate in accordance with our refund policy.
  • Seller Orders:
    Individual sellers must clearly display their own refund and return policies.
    Ceylon mate is not liable for disputes involving seller-managed items.

7. Prohibited Items

Sellers are strictly prohibited from listing:

  • Items that are illegal under Australian law
  • Expired, unsafe, or damaged goods
  • Counterfeit items or those that violate copyright/trademark laws

8. Termination

Ceylon mate reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent, harmful, or unlawful conduct
  • Disrupt platform operations

9. Limitation of Liability

Ceylon mate is not responsible for:

  • Quality, safety, or legality of third-party seller products
  • Delivery issues outside of our own product deliveries
  • Any loss or damage resulting from user actions, third-party services, or seller behavior

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.
Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
